適合拿來當英文名字嗎?
還是有其他發音類似的英文名?
亦或者是用語中文名字發音類似的英文名來取名字並不好?

William 是名字 (First Name)來的，例如：威廉王子(Prince William)、威廉莎士比
亞(William Shakespeare)等，都是取了 William 來作為其名字，所以你大可以安心取
其來作為你的英文名字。

比較正確的說，William 只會是名字，不會是姓氏。
如果是姓氏的話，應該是 "Williams"；
如果單單是 "William"，沒有 "s" 加在後的話，那是一個名字。

恩, 但Williams通常是姓, i.e. V. Williams

William Jefferson Clinton. (You can all him Bill, if you want)
Whether or not sharing the same name w/ him is a good thing is for you to decide. ^_^

Well, the name of the musician should be John Williams.
That should be spelt with an "S".

Although "William" can be a surname, it is very rare. Much more common is
the surname "Williams".

Surnames such as "Williams", "Evans", "Edwards", "Richards", etc. are Welsh
in origin. Originally, the Welsh used a patronymic naming system, where the
son's surname was the father's first name suffixed with "-s" or prefixed
with "ap-" (which itself was shortened to "p-" or "b-").

So, in 15th century Wales, Evan, son of Richard, would be Evan Richards or
Evan ap Richard (Evan Pritchard). Similarly, Watkin, son of Rhys, would be
Watkin ap Rhys (which became Watkin Price).
