Personally, I don't like to recommend a beginner to read
The C++ Programming Language to learn the STL. It probably should
be the next book after reading a tutorial book on STL. In fact,
a beginner will be soon lost in the content of The C++ Programming Language,
which has small font size and simply contains too many words and details.
In my opinion, the book should be a reference book but not a textbook.
