Alex,

Has there been any progress with the OMC-to-2560-Adapter.

I am keen to try it, I would like to be able to use the SD card again and experiment with a display and standalone operation.

Do you know if there is a fairly recent version of Marlin that will work with the SD card or has it been "improved" to such an extent that your adapter is the only relevant alternative?

Regards

John Brown.

Hi John,

I think the absolute status is unchanged since you last asked a very long time ago – IE we have the design ready to go and I will order some prototype PCBs, and you’re down for at least 1.

In the intervening time this crept as far up my agenda as actually uploading the files to a board house before issues including COVID19 shut things down.

I am currently extremely busy but now winding down the PPE printing project, so there is the possibility of some free time on the horizon.

I was hoping to put through several boards in one postage amount – but I will decouple and order the ones that are final (including this) and not wait for the ones I was finishing off.

You probably do want this still, as the ATMEGA644P really can’t handle the functions in modern Marlin and our board adds a lot of extra function to the OMC bringing it right up to a full feature set for an 8-bit board.

Feel free to nudge me in a week’s time if you’ve not heard!

Copies will also go to Bo and Malcolm, I’ll get 10 initially so there will be a couple spare if others want them.

Cheers,

Alex Gibson
