Hi, my problem is that there are episodes that I obtain before the normal air time in my timezone. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, however, i like to automate my library to add the files accordingly. So, here are the steps and results that i noticed.
First, my automated scripts obtained a new episode of a show a couple hours before it normally airs in my timezone.
Second, I tried to scan with TV Rename but it didn't "find" the new episode.
Third, i waited an hour and changed the airs in timezone setting so that it was listed an hour earlier, and ran a manual scan and TV Rename then found the episode.
Forth, I tried to adjust the airs in timezone setting to try to get the air time to be earlier so that it would find the show more readily. However, any timezone i choose that was too far east, it defaulted to the original air time.
So, if TV Rename won't be able to find episodes like this in the future, I can't automate the library updates as needed. Therefore, I was wondering if there was a setting (maybe even just in command line) that would ignore the air date/time when scanning the search folders for new/missing episodes? Ideally i just want this to work in the same type of way that "theRenamer" used to work for me. Just grab the new files from the "search" folder and rename them accordingly if they don't already exist.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
On a slightly related note, is there a way i'm not aware of that would force an overwrite of existing files in my media library from files found in a "search" folder? This would be for instances when there is a fixed version of an episode file that i would like to automatically overwrite the previous file accordingly. Just trying to get a little more feature parity with theRenamer since that has ceased to work correctly on Windows 10 1803. Sorry if this has already been answered, but i've searched here and the site already and haven't found any answers to these. Thanks.
