Monitor Search Folders stops auto scanning

every morning I look at what I am missing and add those files.  For a very long time I have been adding files and it does not notice them.  I really like the instant feedback and auto sort which makes life easier.  It does seem to search the upload folder at some point throughout the day so it is working on that side.  But the instant search (run a scan when files change) does not work.

Work around #1 press quick scan button and after if finds everything then press Do Checked.  This works fine, I just don't want to have to touch my remote desktop screen.

Work around #2 which is what I usually do.  click preferences, goto Search folders, add or subtract a second to Monitor Search Folders option and click ok.  I have noticed that If I uncheck and recheck the option it does not fix the problem.  If I add a second and then subtract a second (for example it was 1 second, go up to 2 seconds and back to 1 second) it does not update its scanning.  So an actual change has to be made.

Is anyone else having this problem where it does not scan when files change?  I keep mine on 1 or 2 seconds.  My search folder is on a NAS drive.  I have TV Rename 5.0.8.  I only use it for TV shows.  The software is the only software running on a virtual machine with windows.  I use RustDesk to remote in and see what shows are missing.

These are my settings.  I'm not having any problem.  You might want to try my settings (modified with your folder names, of course).  Be sure to click on the blue circle with the "i" in it for more information.
