Is there a way to install TV Rename on the same PC, but run different instances?

I  question if this can be done because of the files being written to the user's appdata \ roaming directory.

I am afraid the new files would overwrite the files in that directory. Sure would be nice to be able to run two instances pointing to different locations.

I don't believe so natively but you could install it in a separate container like a Thin Client or Docker and give it outside access to a search folder.

You can start TVRename with the parameter userfilepath. This parameter defines, where the settings are stored.
For example: TVRename.exe /userfilepath:C:\SecondTVRename\settings

So would I install it twice, but that would overwrite the files.

So then do I create a batch file?
C:\Program Files (x86)\TVRenameTV\Rename.exe /userfilepath:D:\TVRename2\settings

This doesn't do anything for example. Do I put something in the settings directory?

Is that exactly the content of the batch file? If so, this is not correct. There is an error in the path and you have to put it in quotes because of the blanks.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\TVRename\TVRename.exe" /userfilepath:D:\TVRename2\settings

That did it, thank you! This will be really helpful. :-)
