Immediate crash after re-opening

I have a strange issue with TV Rename. On a fresh PC boot, the application loads successfully. However, if I quit the app for any reason (such as to update, or simply just hitting the X button), reopening it causes an immediate crash. Sometimes it will successfully open after multiple tries, but the most reliable way to get the app to open again is to restart my PC.

In the /log folder, this is the last line of cef-debug.log:

[0531/093207.855:FATAL:hwnd_util.cc(64)] 87

And the last line of TVRename.log:

2023-05-31 09:32:07|INFO| Splash Screen Updated with: 100/100 Opening...

Any suggestions would be helpful. For reference, I do have the application installed to my D: drive, which is not where my Windows 10 OS is installed.

I don't know if this is your problem, it very well may not be but I'd like to give you this tip for when shutting down TVRename.  Always, always, if at all possible, be sure to click on Save (under the File menu option) before shutting down.  It is not needed now as much as in the past because the author has added additional automatic saves into the program so that there are few times now when changes are not in a saved state.
Only the author can tell you what your problem actually is.  I am not a programmer and have no idea what "[0531/093207.855:FATAL:hwnd_util.cc(64)] 87" means.  I, personally, with or without a Save before shutting down, have never seen this error myself or had startup crashes.

I'm not sure what may be causing the problem either.  I think hwnd is referring to a window handle that crashed.  Could be an issue with the CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) library that the developer may be using.  Maybe check if you're using the correct version of the CEF library if it's needed.  Can also confirm that you're using the latest graphics card drivers.

Steven's right, it looks like the browser that handles the information view on the right is bombing out. I'm amazed there is no more info in the TVR log though. His advice able graphics card drivers is good. TVR 5 will update to the latest CEF library (but that's more out of hope than expectation)

When you exit - can you see whether TVRename is running in the background still (via Task Manager)? Potentially it's not cleanly exiting for some reason. CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess should be there when it's running and go away when you close TVR.
