Lately TV Rename starts to "forget" a show has seasons? It's a bit random which show. Today it was Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. So when I add new episodes it just ignores them.

I then just do a force refresh on the show and it works again. I know it was ok, when I closed TV Rename the last time. I usually do a save followed by a exit.

Mostly it works, but sometimes it forgets one show other times a few. I will see if I can get a pattern.

I only use TVDB as source.

Not sure if this is similar to what you are experiencing, but I have a problem with TVR recognizing new episodes of a particular show until I do a "Force Refresh" on that show each week.  Once I do this, it picks up the new episodes in the Search folder just fine.

Yes, this is most likely similar to my problem. It's the newer shows, that has this behaviour.

Let's start with the basic questions --
Are you sure you have Offline Operation off?  No checkmark icon should show.
Do you have Automatic Background Download on?  Icon should have a blue square around it.
How often do you schedule a scan?
Have you checked your log for any obvious error, usually listed as Warning or Critical?

Both are off. I never schedule a scan. When I have new episodes ready, I launch the program, do a manual scan, rename/move and then save + exit. Will check the logs, next time I encounter the problem

Today it dropped Ted Lasso, all seasons with this in the log:

2024-01-01 10:53:36|INFO| Rename and missing check: Ted Lasso
2024-01-01 10:53:36|WARN| No Folders defined for Ted Lasso, please review the configuration for that TV Show. Either there are no scanned episodes or the configuation is not complete

Definitely untrue  :), because a full refresh restores it without any other change. And I have many other shows on that network folder which are reported correctly. And Ted Lasso worked fine yesterday.

Replying to your "Both are off" message - This is going to be a tough one for me, since I don't run TVRename that way.  I have TVRename running 24/7 with scans every 4 hours and monitoring the Search folders constantly.  I have my A/V setup pretty well automated with torrents and streaming downloads.  There are a few real minor things to clean up automation-wise, but for the most part, all is done without my intervention.  I'll have to shift my head around to think along the way that you use TVRename.  If there is anyone reading this that uses TVRename the way that nogames1286 does, I could use some help in figuring out what the problem might be.

You wrote, "And I have many other shows on that network folder which are reported correctly."

Are you saying that you have multiple shows in the same directory?  I'm confused.  If at all possible, could you screenshot all the tabs in Preferences from General to Folder Deleting, zip them all up, and attach them to a message here so that I can see how you have everything set up?

I use the same process as poster other than I do a full scan daily to see if anything new dropped.  I do have a particular show that I have to force refresh each week to get TVR to see the new episode.  I'm assuming that's an API thing.  I don't think I've had any issues with existing show folders randomly not being found or full seasons being forgotten though. I'm curious how the poster's folder structure is.  I've allocated a drive letter to a network share and have created subfolders for each individual show.  Almost sounds like show folders are being partially cached or still all loading as TVR is trying to process them.

Sorry, I should have written share. Each show is in it's own folder and each season is in it's own folder.

Do not spend time on this. It must be a network issue on my side. Strangely enough it scans the share fine, just sometimes in the middle of the scan it drops a show with the above log message but pick up right after that with the remaining shows. And it's rarely the same show. As far as I can tell I do not have other errors on the network.

My share is stored on an Unraid server.

I have 3 other setups for TV Rename. I will monitor them for the issue also. One is for Christmas shows. Here in Denmark we each year get multiple 24 episode children shows just for Christmas. So I usually just update this one in December. The other two are discontinued TV Shows. They get updated not regularly but at least once per month. I have so many that I had to separate them into two, otherwise refresh from TVDB would take too long. These shows are stored on a mix of servers (Unraid and Synology). I will see if I can replicate the issue here. Perhaps it's just a network issue.
