Only Fools & Horses specials do not match TVDB

TVDB shows last special as s00e35, TVRename shows s00e33. I deleted the show and added and it then showed s00e35 but when i scanned show it switched back to s00e33.

What is the name of the Special episode that you say is the "last special"?   By last special, are you talking about the last one to air?  If so, it looks like S00E34 would be the correct answer according to TVDB.  Another confusing factor is that TVDB rules require the series to be listed by the channel/station on which it originally appeared.  That would be BBC One.  But S00E34 and S00E35 are listed as being on Channel 5 which, by my mind, that violated TVDB's own rules.

 I'm in the US, and I've never heard of Only Fools & Horses.  It's not one of the many British series that made its way across the pond, as far as I can tell.  I'll try to track down its episode history.  If it is wrong on TVDB, I'll be glad to make the corrections at TVDB.  Did you check to see what TMDB has in their database?

On TVDB the last 2 specials are:

S00E34 Only Fools And Horses: Greatest Christmas Moments

S00E35 Secrets & Scandals of Only Fools and Horses

TVRename shows them as:

S00E32 Only Fools And Horses: Greatest Christmas Moments

S00E33 Secrets & Scandals of Only Fools and Horses

If you delete the series and add it back, then the specials match TVDB. However if you then do a quick scan to fix the series it switches the episodes back to 32 and 33.

The reason that the last 2 specials are on Channel 5 is because the are documentaries about the show, very common on Channel 5.

Happy Holidays to you!  Sorry to get back to you so late, but that's the reason.  It probably doesn't matter, but on TVDB do you have TVR set to look at Aired Order or DVD Order?  I'm going to set up the show in my library and see what I come up with.  I'll get back to you.

I'm sorry, but I followed your instructions exactly, and I am unable to recreate what you are seeing.  I even tried a few tricks of my own to try to get it to get out of order, but it would not budge.  There wouldn't be much for me to change on TVDB anyway, since the Moderator has the show locked down.  He wrote, "Series and seasons locked due to users repeatedly adding special episodes into regular seasons. Our data matches that provided on the BBC website.""
I did note that the show is missing any reference to a S00E21 episode.  It just skips over it.  I don't think that would have an effect on the order that TV Rename orders things. I've seen it many times with other shows. I wish I could have helped solve this for you.  I did look at TMDB and TVMaze's Specials for Only Fools & Horses, and they are wildly different from TVDB.
