Windows File Explorer frozen while downloading data

If I drag & drop a folder into this window (screenshot), the  Windows File Explorer window is frozen until I chose the correct series, until the software has downloaded all data and until it got added into the list in the software. It would be nice if I can use the Windows File Explorer window while the software is loading something.
