The Internet being what it is, I stumbled across the opening animation from the days when I Love Lucy was sponsored by Philip Morris.

The familiar "heart on satin" opening was apparently created for CBS' daytime reruns, which started in 1959.

I've heard that those title sequences were done by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera in between "Tom and Jerry" shorts at MGM.

The music at the beginning was "On the Trail" from the "Grand Canyon Suite," which Philip Morris used as their jingle for a long time, along with the short person bellboy shouting "CALL FOR PHILIP MORR-ISSS!"

Seems to me that TV Land for a while replaced the syndication titles with one of the network titles, covering up Philip Morris with the old TV Land logo.

The first season credits of The Lucy Show used an animated Lucy and Viv, and their Lucy looked awfully similar.

It was no doubt used to remind viewers of the I Love Lucy credits.
