Britain's Mirror says the 100+ segments from the Doctorships of William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton were discovered, well-preserved apparently, at Ethiopia's state broadcasting center... negotiations are underway to get them back to BBC.

There's been a lot of discussion about the accuracy of this report which surfaced at the weekend. It seems likely that the BBC *has* found some missing episodes, but 100 or more seems likely to be wide of the mark.

Either way, we should know for certain tomorrow when the BBC is expected to announce what it has found.

Well, something was found... in Nigeria, per this Deadline piece... and iTunes is already carrying several segments... a trailer for The Web of Fear, with Doc #2 and a young Lethbridge-Stewart, at:

The Beeb's reports said that only Web and Enemy of the World, another Troughton story, were reconstituted as a result of the find... but the discovery, a couple of samples of which were shown to an invited crowd Friday, impressed ex-companions Frazer Hines and Deborah Watling, who each appeared in one of the stories...
