Stephen Park (I first saw him on "In Living Color") told the "Pod Meets World" hosts of a day in 1997 when an assistant director needed James Hong, who went on to much greater fame but joined Park for "The One with the Ultimate Fighting Champion," on-set, referring to him as "Oriental"... Park complained to SAG, who suggested he write an open letter to the L.A. Times, but while the letter survives to this day on Internet Archive, the ol' Dog Trainer (as Kevin called it for years) never printed it...

Kevin would agree that Harry Shearer originated calling the Times "the Dog Trainer."
