The 27 million total viewers for Sunday night's Chiefs-at-Jets clash, featuring repeated cuts to the goil cheering on beau/K.C. receiver Travis Kelce (like Kelsey Grammer) outpointed last season's Week 4 week-ender (also involving the Chiefs) by 22%... of course, Swifties boosted the game's 12-17 figure 53% above the average from the first three weeks...

So Fox had its chance, then NBC... CBS gets their shot next Sunday as the red, white and gold head to Minnesota in a late-afternoon slot (some will see the Jets at Denver)...

And if they find out TayTay's going to be in the crowd again, the only markets carrying the Jets/Broncos game will be the Tri-State area and Colorado. It's a love story, baby just say yes.

The markets in and around New York and Denver are almost certainly the only ones that are going to get the Jets-Broncos game, regardless of whether or not Taylor Swift is going to show up in Minneapolis for the Chiefs-Vikings game. (The Jets' chances of anyone caring about their games this season snapped along with Aaron Rodgers's Achilles tendon, and the only reason the Broncos have one win is because they got to play the even-more-hapless Bears this week.)

Even Kelce is concerned about *awl* the attention... on the podcast they share, his brother, Eagles offensive lineman Jason, asked, "Is the [league] overdoing it? What is your honest opinion?" Travis: "I think everybody is, like, overwhelmed."
Actor/entrepreneur Ryan Reynolds' marketing company is close to the couple... he managed to get annoying State Farm commercial actor Kevin Miles to Travis' game (checking with Swift's people), and "Always Sunny" actor / "Welcome to Wrexham" reality star Rob McElhenney to Jason's game, both to mug within camera range with their mother Donna...
The league is fighting back against snotty fans worried that their social media hornblowing is taking their attention away from, say, actual football stuff...

I know an actress in Chicago who worked with Jake in a State Farm commercial (it's the bride and groom one, she's the bride with the big goofy eyes) and she wasn't annoyed a bit.  I should also add that she's married and I hope her husband didn't know.

Commissioner Goodell (for better or worse) weighs in on the couple's influence on the league, among other topics, with "CBS Mornings"...
