Karl Stefanovic is doing very much the same thing our current California governor has been doing, platforming fringe elements in podcast interviews. Stefanovic is going the extra mile, however, and fawning over them, specifically Tommy Robinson (not his real name). After a collective shift to the right in recent years, the Australians seem to have reached a tipping point. At least that’s the hope.

"Nine--one of Australia's two major commercial broadcasters..."

Locally-owned Seven or Paramount-owned Ten--which one is the Beeb calling "minor?"

Network 10 is a distant third in the Aussie commercial landscape, while Seven and Nine are battling it out at the top. It might be Paramount owned, but so is Channel 5 in the UK and I wouldn't class that as a major UK commercial broadcaster either.

Yeah, Seven and Nine have all of the big sports rights that count these days. Ten may've had "Neighbours," but it seems that for some tieveme that (and, truth be told, "Home and Away" over on Seven) were/are being made more for the UK and those shows' popularity there than any popularity in their home country. And it seems like any of the commercial networks don't want to do home-grown scripted unless they can get tax writeoffs.
