I'm obviously not the only who initially mistook Richard Herd for Karl Malden (they had similar faces), something noted in this THR piece... he got to be well-known in sci-fi circles, through several shots in the "Trek" universe and as the commander of "V"'s aliens... but before that he played one of the Watergate burglars in All The President's Men, among others...
