Amazon MGM is working on I Play Rocky, a theaters-intended telling of the true Hollywood underdog story of the determined young writer who also wanted to star as the prizefighter he'd written a script about... Peter Gamble (who tacked on the extra surname Robinson when he wrote for the Crackle original series Trenches back in 2010) is writing, Toby Emmerich (once of WB) is a producer, and they just signed Anthony Ippolito, who just played Al Pacino in a sorta-similar project, The Offer at Paramount+, about the making of the first Godfather flick, for the Sly part:
