Variety (link): "Comcast, AT&T’s DirecTV, Dish Network, and Charter Communications are among the operators that have notified customers about rate hikes set to go into effect in January for most TV packages. As usual, the providers have cited higher programming costs for jacking up their fees."

Oddly, it looks like Service Electric won't raise at least the package rates, and possibly not standalone ones either...

Charter has me on a legacy Time Warner Cable promotion that allows me to keep my multi-room DVR, which Charter does t currently offer.

They’ll probably force me off the package by the end of 2018, at which time they expect to be on a single billing platform.

I’m on a legacy DirecTV package (with a slightly different channel lineup than any of the packages they currently offer), but they still manage to raise its price every year.
