Picks up a year after Silence of the Lambs. Good cast, virtually nonexistent writing... not even formulaic, just bad. The characters were literally introduced as the stereotypes they are. Written and produced by the guy oversaturating the market with Star Trek shows.

Pilot free on iTunes and CBS All Access

And seeing that Clarice is (fictionally) from neighboring Clay County, she should be able to pronounce Kanawha [ka-NAWH] right….

As with so many recent projects, I nixed it when it became once again apparent that producers would rather hire Brits and Aussies who can't do "American" accents in lieu of actual Americans who can. (Her demonstration with Colbert was pretty embarrassing.) That, plus my feeling that "Silence of the Lambs" was one of the dullest "thrillers" since "The Shining," only cemented its status.

Give me that atrocity with Wiig any day.
