"Cops" Back in Production (But Not for U.S.)

In Spokane, Wash., Langley Productions camera crews are following the police forces through November--even though the long-running series was dumped by Paramount Network in June after the death of George Floyd, along with WGN America letting its rerun contract go at the end of June and Disney-ABC replacing OTA reruns with repeats of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" (not to mention its spiritual descendant "Live PD" being dropped by A&E), the producers say that they are fulfilling overseas commitments to new episodes:
