If I may quote myself when I saw Trump's original comment about thinking he could arbitrarily shut down an internet app in the United States: "(almost uncontrollable laughter)"

Apparently Trump is now claiming the US government should could a percentage of the sale price.

Microsoft has always struggled with youth cultural relevance. Assuming the sale occurs, which I doubt, there’s no chance TikTok survives with its primary demographic

TikTok sues Combover et al, claiming in part the action was not based on a "bona fide national emergency"...

It’s a valid lawsuit, one our tax dollars will go towards fighting, unfortunately.

If I was to pick a fight with foreign companies right now, it’d be those “23 and me” sort of companies which are compiling genetic data in exchange for what seems in most cases to be vague personal profiles. A social media site where teenagers dance to crappy music doesn’t seem quite as big a risk by comparison, and in a court of law the Feds would have to provide a compelling reason to block Tik Tok.

TikTok users left so many one-star reviews on Plump's 2020 campaign app that Apple had to reset the app's rating at the campaign's request...
