Reminding us that racists are not limited to FoxNews, the series “Freya Fired Up” was cancelled mid episode when a guest wearing bacon began espousing anti-Islamic nonsense.

As if the bacon taped to his shirt wasn’t going to be an indicator of his instability.

Some video of the stupidity can be seen here.

The Australian Sky News operation is much closer to Fox News than the UK/Global Sky News (which MSNOW is now working with).

The Australian version is full of bloviators, extreme right wingers and especially climate change deniers.

The UK/Global version is pretty decent and nothing like the Aussie version.

It's a real issue for the Sky News brand.

As a regular viewer on YouTube of Australian ABC's "Media Watch," I am very familiar with what Sky News Australia does (and that the ABC, being a government-funded public broadcaster, is one of Sky's favorite targets). It should be mentioned that the Australian Sky is owned by the Murdochs, as is the cable/satellite system that Sky is on (the Sky name comes from when Murdoch owned the European Sky).

I keep thinking that sooner or later the license to use the Sky name is going to run out and Comcast is not going to renew the license. I assume that Murdoch will just rename the channel Fox News Australia.

New Zealanders also can watch this dreck, so I wonder if the new handle incorporates them...     B
