Northern Exposure starring Hilary Swank.
The series theme is that Alaskan natives are unfairly treated as second class citizens compared to the white population. So, naturally, the series has whites in leading roles and native (or at least non-white) actors as supporting cast. Sigh.

Seeing the ads, I’ve just been assuming that “Alaska Daily” is the name of Hilary Swank’s character.
