NBC ends all of its first run syndication division.
I believe Access Hollywood was the last broadcast TV series to be produced out of the Bob Hope/Johnny Carson studio at what was then NBC Burbank (it had a short-lived life as an e-sports arena).
I have fond memories of then-host Pat O’Brien bantering with me when I was a page giving studio tours. And I have fond memories of then-host Nancy O’Dell hiding behind studio cameras, thinking tourists couldn’t see her. And I have fond memories of Nancy O’Dell’s dress backstage at the Golden Globes; it is — in fact — my only fond memory of the Globes, but I’m married now so I’ll leave it at that.
