The ex-governor is talking with Mark Burnett about a second series of
'...Alaska' that would begin filming next summer, but not air till
after the election... the Discovery-owned net was not interested in an
alleged spinoff about hubby Todd's snowmobile-racing sideline...

IIRC, Burnett & Palin have been shopping this around for at least a week, and have had no takers including and beyond Discovery Communications.

What's the over/under on Palin declaring her candidacy for 2012 in order to maintain relevant & sell TV shows?

It's too late to register for the primaries. Plus at this point a
campaign needs to have field operations up in all the early states to
be viable. Whatever Palin's going to do in the future it's not going
to be as a public servant.

That only matters if you're running for President in order to become president. To run for president to become/remain famous, you just need to convince some pundits that you have either a *theoretical* chance of winning or can be a possible spoiler. And with Palin, the pundits will concoct whatever bizarre scenario needed themselves. (See the various Rube Goldbergesque series of events argued to convince us that Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, or Chris Christie still have a chance to win if he wants to jump in today.)

One plausible path is through Americans Elect, the third-party populist campaign funded by big money with support from people like Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild ... though the reason it won't work for her is because Americans Elect is the project of people like Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild...

Said party has now qualified for the California ballot, says the
political e-newsletter I received this morning.
