The NY Federal judge hearing the case ruled that while

(1) the company didn't quite reach the level of having violated securities rules, and

(2) it didn't commit anything other than "generic puffery" in comments about, f'rinstance, the Charlie Rose departure,

things Moonves said regarding #MeToo at a 2017 Variety conference can be interpreted as not completely honest...

A settlement was announced between the shareholders and Moonves/CBS... the former will split $14.75 million. Caso cerrado.
