I bought every installment of Gervais’ podcasts as audiobooks. I adore The Office. I liked Extras and Idiot Abroad. The Invention Of Lying was a good premise. And I’m over him. Can’t watch him anymore. Won’t follow him on social media. He made the transition from being funny to being rude and egotistical. He’s the Bill Maher of the UK... but he keeps coming back to the US. Please somebody make it stop.

I also really liked the Gervais of 10-15 years ago and can't stand him now. I also assume the producers have a hard time finding a host with a big enough name. Gervais may be of value to them because he brings the anticipation of saying something controversial.
