So, this is a pretty good deal - only three more dollars for Showtime. Will Discovery add HBO for $3?

Then again, I have not had Showtime for quite a while now, and haven’t even noticed. Is there anything even worth $3/ a month there?

I enjoyed the recent "The Man Who Fell to Earth" series, and I'm currently in the middle of watching "Yellowjackets." (In the past couple of years, my favorite Showtime series has been "Kidding," but your mileage may vary depending on your feelings about Jim Carrey.)

And W. Kamau Bell's documentary series "We Must Talk About Cosby" is very enlightening if you are not totally familiar about the accusations against Cosby.

P+ finally sent me a message to see if I wanted to add Showtime (I already subscribe to Paramount +).  It would be $20 more per year if you do the annual plan (with ads).  That's a serious discount on the $3 charge per month.

Still not sure I'll do it, I'm just not into most of the Showtime offerings.

Par chief Bob Bakish, at an investor conference, said that talks with cable and satellite about bundling the two have likely occurred... the respective subscriber bases don't overlap much, but the WSJ still thinks the merger will happen...
