That Variety article says it aired on CBS in the U.S., which is incorrect (it was syndicated, although it did air on the CBS owned-and-operated stations).
The article also doesn't state whether or not they've managed to get the rights to all the musical performances (some were missing from the DVDs that came out years ago), or state that Disney+ will have the shows in the correct 4:3 aspect ratio.
