For the first time in 46 years (when the game was held in the afternoon), NBC will follow the Super Bowl tonight with Olympics coverage (there won't be Olympics in the afternoon due to the marathon SB pre-game) instead of the usual entertainment show:

However, what the THR article doesn't mention is that the game will also be streamed on Peacock and at the end of the network post-game the streamer will drop the first three episodes of "Bel Air," the much-hyped drama reboot of "The Fresh Prince of..."  There's no doubt that Mike Tirico and Al Michaels will be plugging that show often during the coverage and if Peacock is smart, they should stream the first episode immediately after the conclusion of the coverage on the same stream so that people don't have to click elsewhere on the app.

And now, for something completely different--sport.  <Original "Grandstand" theme plays>

And now for something  completely different: how not to be seen… part one: appear on Peacock

I plan to stream the game 'free' on my NBC O&O (for some strange reason my cabler still does not prevent this, even tho I technically don't have 'full basic,' only 'economy' service; sounds like Brad[?] and HBO)... and I'm betting that NBCU will not take up Mark's first-ep proposal.

(My other bets, not made with anyone involving the investment of funds, are: there will be at least eight scores, Cooper Kupp of the Rams will have one of them, each team will give the ball away once, one challenged play will get reversed, and the game will not go OT)     B

possibly not mentioned because the three episodes dropped at 3:00 a.m. ET (i.e., 12 hours ago)

When I started following listings on TheFutonCritic, I noticed that 3:01AM east is the time Netflix uses to unleash its débuts... you just knew somebody was going to beat that...     B

Amazon seems to drop most Friday stuff at 00:01 UTC/GMT or 7:01PM ET (Thursday) which sort of works for those staying up to catch a Friday release in the UK.

On a related note, most big HBO shows get a UK "simulcast" on Sky Atlantic at 2am local time. So if you really want to stay up for the next episode of Euphoria and watch it simultaneously with the East Coast, you can. I think plenty of people *did* do this for things like Game of Thrones...
