'30 Rock' Reunion to Be NBCU Fall Preview Special

Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan will host as their characters on "30 Rock" on what NBCU is describing as an "upfront for the viewers, not the advertisers" to air on Thurs. July 16 as a roadblock on NBC, USA, SyFy, Bravo, Oxygen, E! and CNBC (and Peacock, in its second day of availability to all) that will feature all of the named channels, not just NBC:
I wonder if Lemon will say something about Jack moonlighting as a game show host. More seriously, will this show officially announce the rumored switch of CNBC prime time from "American Greed," "Jay Leno's Garage" and "Shark Tank" reruns to rightwing opinion shows?

The fact that the special will not strictly promote the big network has soured a slew of affiliates out of carrying it... stations owned by Sinclair, Tegna, Gray, Nexstar, and Hearst say they will chicken out...

The 304 /681 and surroundings are just about shut out as well, whether it's local sports-and-weather specials on WBOY (Nexstar), Greta van Susteren's Gray-based Covid special (WSAZ/WTAP), or additional "Family Feud" on WTOV (Sinclair). Only WRC (covering the eastern panhandle) and Quincy-owned WVVA still have it on the schedule.

I assume Peacock will have the special available for streaming post-haste, which undermines TPTBs' action in the first place....

They’re showing it on USA tonight. Wow, they weren’t kidding about the infomercial thing.
But I did learn that Kenneth owns a “Proud as a Peacock” beach towel.

For the recordThe , with the show not available in half the nation "30 Rock: A One-Time Special" came in second in its time slot among the OTA networks to ABC's "Holey Moley."
The big winner for NBCU Thursday night was Rachel Maddow's interview with Mary Trump on MSNBC, which was linear TV's top-rated show for the night in 18-49 and total audience:
Friday night numbers for the "30 Rock" cable roadblock not out yet.
