CBS Fall Revised: 'Yellowstone!'

The Eye's original schedule was based on a strike not happening and we all know that turned out--here's the revised schedule, with more scripted than ABC or Fox:

MONDAY:

8:00--LOTERIA LOCO--The Mexican Bingo is the inspiration for this game show from the hack behind "Best Shazam" and "Don't Forget the Lyrics!", hosted by "Jane the Virgin" narrator and "Schmigadoon!" cast member Jamie Camil.  Maybe they won't tape it in Ireland.

9:00--NCIS (rerun)

10:00--Paramount+ original TBA (hey, how about "Grease:  Rise of the Pink Ladies"--even though you pulled it for tax reasons, it is nominated for Emmys)

NOT-SO-MUCH DICK WOLF TUESDAY:

8:00--Big Brother--The hamsters will move in next month and all will be in full swing--sorry, Dick.

9:00--FBI True--The P+ docuseries where veteran agents tell war stories.  Dick's not involved with this one either.

10:00--FBI (rerun)--Hi Dick!

WEDNESDAY:

8:00--Survivor

9:30--The Amazing Race

Ninety minutes for each as previously announced.

THURSDAY WHILE THE HAMSTERS ARE STILL THERE:

8:00--Big Brother

9:00--BUDDY GAMES--A reality comp version of the panned 2019 direct-to-video film about a bunch of dudes trying to lift up each other's spirits by playing a series of stupid games at a summer camp.  Director Josh Duhamel is host and the Bunim-Murray banner of Banijay is producing.

10:00--The Challenge:  USA--The second CBS season of the long-running MTV reality comp.

THURSDAY WHEN THE HAMSTERS LEAVE:

8:00--Young Sheldon (rerun)

8:30--Ghosts USA (rerun)

9:00--Ghosts UK--The original BBC version's 27 episodes over four seasons have been streaming on Max.

9:30--Ghosts UK

10:00--Seal Team--Heard you missed us, now we're back from P+.

FRIDAY:

8:00--Prime time episodes of "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal" rotate

9:00--RAID THE CAGE--Sort of a TV version of Mouse Trap, where two teams of contestants compete to get through a maze and and make with the fabulous prizes contained therein.  No host yet, an Israeli format from Sony--oy!

10:00--Blue Bloods Classics--or so they say.

SATURDAY:

8:00--Sports/reruns

10:00--48 Hours

SUNDAY:

7:00--60 Minutes--on NFL doubleheader weeks, the show will become "90 Minutes," so to speak.

8:00--Yellowstone--If no NFL doubleheader

9:00--Yellowstone--TV's top-rated drama makes its OTA debut after airing originally on Paramount Network on cable and Peacock on streaming

10:00--Big Brother

Remember, friends, that three of NBC's scripted shows were supposed to air mid-season and supposedly have episodes stockpiled, but I assume they can slap a reboot of "Concentration" or "Tic Tac Dough" on if necessary.

I'd guess the Paramount + original spot for Mondays would be filled by something that has been around for longer than 10 episodes (a short list), or they will rotate through a bunch of them.

What ever happened to P+’s Star Trek Strange New Worlds running on CBS primetime? There was talk of that when the strike was in its early days.

It ended up being just two episodes on September 8, which is the anniversary of the NBC debut of Star Trek in 1966.

CBS seems to have opted for an extra NCIS rerun instead of a Paramount + original.  Maybe they figure the oldsters watching the Yellowstone will just keep their TVs on to that channel.
