They hyped this piece as being Seinfeld on Chappelle, but mostly it was Seinfeld avoiding talking about Chappelle (see below). I read this mostly as Seinfeld disapproval, but not wanting to be used by those who would cancel comics.

I also noted the part where the guy goes something like “I know you and Chappelle are friends” and Seinfeld goes “Friends? I know the guy, but wouldn’t say we are friends” [paraphrase].

I was just watching Jon Stewart and Colbert, two of my favorite comedians, debate the Dave Chappelle SNL monologue. And I’m just curious where you fall on it. Did you find it funny?

I did think the comedy was well-executed, but I think the subject matter calls for a conversation that I don’t think I’d want to have in this venue.
