if I'm reading this right, we'll continue to have to pay for P+ streaming even if we subscribe to Showtime, unlike how HBO subscribers have access to HBO Max for no extra charge

So as a current P+ subscriber, I get showtime without having to pay extra for it… and in return the streaming service gets an unnecessarily complicated name like The Los Angeles Angels In Anaheim?

I can live with that.

I think they are saying if you currently pay $9.99 for P+Premium, you will now get everything you had before plus Showtime at no additional cost. That would describe me, so I am happy. But I assume if you currently pay for Showtime (must be at least $9.99) and not P+, you will now get P+ without ads for no additional cost (or less, if Showtime is currently more than $9.99). Seems like you should be happy.

If you currently pay $4.99 (or whatever it is) for basic P+, you can stand Pat, and not get Showtime, or you can upgrade the extra 5$ and get both P+ without ads and Showtime. Seems like that person should be happy too.

This sounds like a good Eval all around, which makes me certain that in 3 months they will be raising the price of “Paramount + with Showtime” to at least $15.

I get Showtime in my cable bundle, and pay for P+ separately. I can't break Showtime out of the bundle without changing my account setup. Somehow, I am not happy.

Do you currently have access to the Showtime Anytime app using your cable company account login? I suspect, once this rebranding is complete, you will instead be able to log in to the P+ app with that login (which means you could drop your separate P+ subscription).

I see, hence your HBO analogy.

Still it seems that if you have Showtime (don’t they have some kind of Showtime Now or Go) available thru streaming, that will now also give you access to P+ ?

I just brought up the Showtime app on the Roku

3 options of packages (sho, sho + mgm+, sho + starz)

free trials available before billing begins

if logging in with my cable account is an option, they're keeping that hidden (nothing mentioned if I "press * to learn more")

If I recall correctly, "Showtime Anytime" is a different app than just plain "Showtime."  (It's the same situation as "HBO Now" versus "HBO Go," which were two different apps, prior to the creation of HBO Max.)

What if you start at the "Sign In" link in the upper right of the Showtime Anytime website? https://www.showtimeanytime.com/
