As Paramount Global's no good, very bad day continues, their decision to delay the season premiere of the first regular season of "South Park" in years on Comedy Central two weeks to July 23 as a battle continues between Par and creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone over streaming rights that is being held up by (you guessed it) the Paramount-Skydance merger is called by Parker and Stone a "s--tshow...f--king up 'South Park'" in a Muskmedia post (included in link, since I will not directly link to that garbage scow):

While Parker and Stone do raise some valid points about the horrific merger, they are such a one-note gag that there’s no reason to delay their show other than spite. If there is one series that could literally be done entirely by AI, it is South Park.

And now it can be told: the season premiere dropped last night, and the program's Satan is literally in bed with Donny boy:

Wow. They’ve only reused that exact same joke, what, six times?

Straightaway the episode dropped, Parker and Stone, along with Mike Judge and Andy Samberg (Beavis and Butt-Head, Digiman!), did a panel at Comic-Con, and the URL notes the biggest (ah, irony!) topic:

The reuse of Satan and certain music queues from "South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut", along with the use of a photorealistic T**mp head, was part of the joke - Trey & Matt were creating an equivalency between T**mp and Saddam.

Not huge news, but SP will be off this week... far from the first time that's occurred:

Trey & Matt were at SDCC, so it's likely they never had a new episode scheduled to run this week.
