I read an EW article covering the same ground.  Honestly, it was time to end it because, with the "reunion" turned into an immediate aftershow shot on the island (rather than months/years later on a CBS soundstage), there'd be no way for Sia to surprise the winner with the money - and doing it after the fact...well, who cares by that point?

Also, Sia is still a thing?

Her last US top 10 was in 2016, so yeah.

And I didn't realize she's 48. No wonder she had a facelift (which she revealed recently in her first public appearance not wearing a mask or wig in years).

She just came out with a new album ("Reasonable Woman"), and produced a Paris Hilton album that's supposed to be released later this year.

(I know, this doesn't specifically answer the question "Sia is still a thing?" I really liked her early work as the vocalist for Zero 7, and her first few solo albums - especially "Some People Have Real Problems" in 2008 - but she's kind of lost me as she's become more pop-oriented.)
