Tonys Live in All Time Zones (But Still Split Between CBS and P+)

The 2022 awards for Broadway theater will air on Sun. June 12 live from Radio City in all time zones, with the first hour with the design awards at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT solely on Paramount+ and the remaining three hours starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on both CBS and P+:

The entire Tonycast will be available for streaming on P+ after the live telecast.  Hopefully, they will avoid last September's telecast problems in some markets, including Chicago, when an NFL overrun meant that when the Tonycast was supposed to go live on CBS, instead viewers saw Chenbot and "Big Brother" instead and the awards were shown on delay.  Unless CBS is carrying the Canadian Open golf tournament, there should be no chance of overruns.

This is also in line with that the Tonys have done in the past; several years back, the first hour aired live on PBS, then shifted over to CBS for the more promotable awards & performances.
