I see it is a Bunim/Murray Production, who did help kickstart the craze with Real World. But as someone who dabbled in the genre back in its infancy, they’d be remiss if they didn’t begin with Eye On LA. Almost everyone involved in producing that show in the 1980s went on to create and produce almost every reality series you can think of. 

I still recall in 2003 flying back from my time in the Peace Corps, holed up in a Virginia hotel room while DC doctors poked and prodded at me. I turned on TV and E was airing a documentary on reality TV. I was shocked that nearly everyone interviewed was either someone I worked for or someone who worked for me.
