'Suits' Comes to OTA Years After the Fact

After Netflix picked up the rerun rights to the former USA Network legal blue sky procedural last summer and found a huge new audience for the show, MyNetworkTV, the Fox service that has quietly chugged along for years on a prime time diet of procedural and true crime reruns, has picked the series up for this fall:


Let's be honest:  Do any MyTV affils outside of Fox-owned stations like WWOR NY, WPWR Chicago and KCOP LA even brand themselves with the remnant name from when Fox owned MySpace these days?

In the UK, Suits was also sold to the BBC a few weeks ago, going onto iPlayer alongside a couple of other NBCUniversal things that I hadn't heard of (St Denis Medical and the Best Man series of films). Originally Suits aired on "Dave" for six seasons before Netflix picked up UK rights from season 7 the first time around.

I assume that the BBC iPlayer listing is crediting Meghan Markle as Meghan the Duchess of Sussex.

Perusing through Wiki's MyTV article, and clicking on individual affiliates, many of them at least use the background logo, if not the distinct "my"...

KCOP's not even using the "My" branding anymore - they're currently branded as "Fox 11 Plus."

Philly is confusing - WPHL/17 still carries the MyNet affiliation (and their logo is still vaguely MyNet-shaped), but with CBS dropping the CW affiliation on WPSG/57, it looks like Nexstar picked it up as the primary affiliation for PHL17.

NBC orders an L.A. spinoff, produced by many of the same folks as the original, with a cast led by Stephen Amell... along with "Grosse Pointe Garden Society," a murder mystery from the folks who brought you "Good Girls."

The only reason I know of the existence of Suits is because of the in app ads featuring the show’s stars (via Cameo) for the game Royal Match. Because of the poor quality and repetition of the ads, I will never download the game
