...to the local minor-league baseball team's radio while entering today's posts.

*They're also on local cable, with whom they famously made the first such deal in the country... every home game.

Without identifying the people involved, let's just say... minor-league ball, major-league @$$holes.

Out of curiosity (as someone who actually bought a ticket package for his local MiLB team), which team?

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, or in TV parlance, the team for whom Wilmer Valderrama's character originally played in episode 8 of "Are You There [Vodka, It's Me,] Chelsea".

Yours would be the Yanks' double-A partner, the Trenton Thunder, right?

The counterargument:

My brother and I spent opening weekend in North Carolina, as our local West Virginia Power (low A, Pirates) started off on the road. Friday night found us watching the Carolina Mudcats play Potomac from the suite-level Cattails Restaurant. That was until a man – who turned out to be a managing partner in the team – traded us our table for the use of his suite.

The rebuttal:

It was never conclusively proved that the post-game fireworks caused the brush fire near the highway on-ramp, but fortunately, no one was injured.

YACS. I think the Thunder air their games on TCNJ's radio station, but I'm 99% sure they don't have TV coverage.

There are red-flag warnings from NOAA in quite a bit of the mid-Atlantic through tomorrow (they've scrubbed some teams' postgame pyro in the past, including here)

Brush fire from a post-game fireworks show? That's so minor league. You gotta let the pros show you how to take screwing up pyrotechnics to the next level.
