| Hey the halftime show band played the theme from CSI:New York and in now playing the one from CSI:original recipe... How'd that happen? ;) |
Entertainment Weekly has a source at CBS who says it was Dave's ideaI don't think Rachel Sklar is rightWhy would he give Leno a huge audience if he were worried?
it can't hurt to show that he and Leno don't really hate each other.
That's the same shot as the still on the LS site.

And if you believe a commenter, ol' Bill might have had a "Mr.
Winfrey" in there someplace.

I noticed Jay was eating potato chips. What, nobody had any Doritos?

From Ken Levine's blog:
"How fucked up is NBC when even Jay Leno is doing promos for David
Letterman?"

Looked like restaurant-style white-corn tortilla chips to me...I eat
plenty of them...

"It would have been hilarious if after Dave and Jay's little
interaction, Conan would have come in from the kitchen with popcorn
and a drink and then pointed to Leno on the couch and said, 'Hey, you
took my seat!'"
Calling up Coco was considered:

Monday night is "Headlines" night and he uses a desk for that segment.
Last I heard, Leno's Tonight Show will utilize the current set for The
Jay Leno Show. Don't know if they'll make the desk a more regular part
of the furniture though.

NBC has a three year lease on the Burbank studios they used to own,
which means, in the short term (which is all they ever bother to think
about), somebody else is handling the general maintenance and upkeep
on the facility. Meanwhile, the old Conan studio is now a state of the
art, HD compatible broadcast studio, just waiting for a game show
(like one of the two versions of "The Cube" people are talking about)
or another talk show (because there is always another talk show) to
move in and pay rent.
