A few years ago I was accidentally gaslighting on social media when I posted a dumb joke along the lines of “The theme song from ‘Fame’ was underrated; I just death I could remember the name of the woman who sang it.” The number of people who seemed to forget the key refrain from the song and who took great offense that I’d forget Cara’s name… I didn’t mean to gaslight, but I was pleased by the results of my unintended triggering.
