He has enough issues, and couldn't be found by, f'rinstance, Variety to comment on what was originally a Bloomberg News report citing anon sources (and soft-paywalled):

Any sale of TikTok would not include its algorithm, and Musk has fired anyone at Twitter capable of creating such an algorithm. He could buy it, but he’d only be buying the name. 

Honest question: Is Musk a US citizen? Only asking as he might not have the proper status to buy the US access to TikTok.

According to the Post and others, Musk did work in the U.S. without authorization in the 1990s, working at a startup rather than enrolling in classes.  Musk denies this, but if proven that he misrepresented himself in his naturalization paperwork, the citizenship could be revoked.


Not that this is likely to happen unless Steve Bannon wants to try this avenue to get Musk out of the White House.

If there is no reprieve by Sunday, app users will be redirected to a page about the shutdown, said Reuters...
People like moi that have desktops, laptops, or notebooks might not be able to reach the site... US employees would not lose their jobs...
