Bill Lawrence is involved, but if it's picked up, his overall deal at Warners would preclude any showrunning...

Bearing in mind the actor who played “The Todd” is now a real estate agent, in the reboot he should be chief of medicine.

Sources tell Nellie that a deal has been reached with Zach Braff (oh, my heart...); he was all you-know-what about the show being filmed in L.A., but no details yet... still other cast to talk with as well, esp. Judy Reyes who is now busy at 20th/ABC's "High Potential"... Braff, meantime, is directing Steve Carell at his still-untitled HBO thang...

The Scrubs reboot has been renewed for a second season.

This pleases me.

Seconded.  I've been really impressed at how the revival has recaptured the spirit of the original run without falling into typical reboot tropes.  And yes, it's leaned on nostalgia a bit, but only ever in service of a current storyline (and it works because we still care so much about these characters).  Hopefully we'll get to see more Judy Reyes in the next season, but FWIW, I like what the new characters bring to the table.

*Full disclosure: Zach Braff is an old theater camp friend; I'm always happy to see him succeed, but I'd be supportive of Scrubs succeeding regardless.

Query for the group: With Scrubs, Shrinking, Ted Lasso and Rooster, is Bill Lawrence currently the most prolific creator/showrunner not named Dick Wolf or Taylor Sheridan?

Chuck Lorre is possibly the only other competition, once Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the third (!) Big Bang Theory spinoff drops on streaming.  George and Mandy's First Marriage and Leanne are the other Lorre shows currently running.
