It's almost like Les Moonves is still prowling the hallways of CBS looking for young actresses to shag so he can cheat on Julie--laugh track sitcoms and procedural dramas dominate the Eye's lineup as if Les never left, with a few exceptions.  Here's how fall looks, as reported by the Wrap, new shows have (N) next to them:

MONDAY
8-8:30 p.m. — THE NEIGHBORHOOD
8-9 p.m. — BOB ❤ ABISHOLA (N)--It wouldn't be a CBS fall schedule without a new Chuck Lorre show--this one brings back Billy Gardell from "Mike and Molly" to play a sock salesman from Detroit who falls in love with his Nigerian immigrant cardiac nurse and sets out to claim her as his.  As if we all do.  Noted right-wing anti-vaxxer Christine Ebersole is in the cast (she's not playing Abishola, sillies).  From Lorre's home at Warners and of course it's multi-cam.
9-10 p.m. — ALL RISE (N)--A legal eagle drama that takes a look at more than just the attorneys--in fact, the central character is a judge played by Simone Missick, an assistant DA promoted to the job who seems to be one of those activist judges Republicans hate.  Also in the cast is Marg Helgenberger back on CBS and Broadway stars who won't be singing a note Lindsay Mendez and Ruthie Ann Miles.  From Warners.
10-11 p.m. — BULL--Still on despite Steven Spielberg's Amblin pulling out of the show after Eliza Dushku's accusations of sexual misconduct.

TUESDAY
8-9 p.m. — NCIS
9-10 p.m. — FBI
10-11 p.m. — NCIS: NEW ORLEANS
Considering that NBC changed its current schedule in April to keep the voice away from "NCIS," to paraphrase Dan Patrick (get well soon), you still can't stop "NCIS," you can only hope to contain it.

WEDNESDAY
8-9 p.m. — SURVIVOR
9-10 p.m. — SEAL TEAM
10-11 p.m. — S.W.A.T.
CBS isn't blinking--they're saying to Fox "bring it ("The Masked Singer") on."

THURSDAY
8-8:30 p.m. — YOUNG SHELDON
8-9 p.m. — THE UNICORN (N)--Here's a surprise--CBS is giving "Young Sheldon" one-camera sitcom company with this series about best friends supporting a recent widower (Walton Goggins) by telling him he is a "unicorn"--in other words, the perfect single guy.  Will he believe them and get back into the dating game?  Rob Corddry's one of his friends.  In-house.
9-9:30 p.m. — MOM
9-10 p.m. — CAROL’S SECOND ACT (N)--Patricia Heaton's back on CBS with a new multi-cam sitcom in which she plays a retired teacher and mother who decides to go to medical school at the age of 50.  Kyle MacLachlan plays one of her teachers, who probably likes a damn good pie and coffee.  In-house.
10-11 p.m. — EVIL (N)--Michelle and Robert King step away from the world of "The Good Wife" and "The Good Fight" with "(a) psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion."  Now there's something you don't always get on network television--and I'm surprised it wasn't shipped out to CBS All Access.  In-house.

FRIDAY
8-9 p.m. — HAWAII FIVE-0
9-10 p.m. — MAGNUM P.I.
10-11 p.m. — BLUE BLOODS

SATURDAY
8-9 p.m. — CRIMETIME SATURDAY
9-10 p.m. — CRIMETIME SATURDAY
10-11 p.m. — 48 HOURS

SUNDAY
7-8 p.m. — 60 MINUTES
8-9 p.m. — GOD FRIENDED ME
9-10 p.m. — NCIS: LOS ANGELES
10-11 p.m. — MADAM SECRETARY

As for mid-season:

FBI:  MOST WANTED--Dick Wolf can't have too many franchises, and so here comes the second "FBI" series, centering around the task force that tracks down the criminals on the famed Most Wanted list.  Julian McMahon leads the force, with Alana de la Garza rejoining a Wolf series after being on "L&O" in its later years.  In-house with Wolf's usual home at Universal.

TOMMY--Edie Falco's back on TV as LA's first woman police chief in a series that promises elements of procedural, political and family drama.  Creator Paul Attansio includes "Homicide" and "House" on his resume--but he also has "Bull."  In-house.

BROKE--The multi-cam is already asking us to believe that Pauley Perrette (back on CBS) is a mom (I just don't see her as that type).  They're also asking us to believe that her ne'er-do-well brother and his family are showing up on her doorstep to ensue lots of hilarity.  Mexican TV star Jaime Camil (who was on "Jane the Virgin") plays the brother and Natasha Leggero his wife.  "Jane" creator Jennie Snyder Urman's one of the creators.  In-house.

We wrap up with The CW tomorrow.

Duh. Moonves may be persona non grata, but CBS wasn't going to have his successor(s) fix what wasn't broken.

From the trailer, it’s her ne’er-do-well sister and her husband. (Also, Rogelio brings along his devoted manservant. #RoRoRoYoureBroke)

Kind of odd that the press releases are making a big deal about the character being 50, considering that Heaton is actually 61.

Much like with Notre Dame at NBC, CBS is prone to the late-season switch of a Southeastern Conference football clash to 8pm east... esp. if one or both teams are highly-ranked.

It appears that the departure of George Eads was enough to put MacGyver out of Kevin's misery.

FWIW, FBI:Most Wanted had a backdoor pilot as an episode of the current FBI show.  It came across as another attempt at U.S. Marshals - the Tommy Lee Jones sequel to The Fugitive film.

Two major differences:  1 - The fugitive did what he was accused of.
2 - It shares the dour seriousness of FBI with none of the gallows humor in either film.

Of all the reboot pilots I’ve watched, this one was the least faithful to the original premise, even granting the concession that the original series pilot wasn’t entirely faithful to the evolved characters either.
