ItsLikelyBeenOnTV: Famed crosswalk in Lubbock, TX to be genericized

My term, not theirs:

Think a famous singer born in Lubbock who died in Iowa in 1959... a museum and park dedicated to him are nearby, but the state, under direct orders from Governor Abbott's good friend POTUS and other GOP leaders, want all crosswalks cleared of any expressive stuff whether it's politically motivated or not... the city would be deprived of state/Federal funding for future road projects if they refused, according to a public-works official speaking to council early this week:
