A face of CNN from its beginnings till embarrassing political opinions forced him out the  door in 2009... resurfaced in 2011 at Fox, who gave him similar status at its business-news offshoot till the Dominion lawsuit brought them down... 78.

Much like Rush Limbaugh, his legacy will be that he has no legacy. He spent decades spewing negativity into the ether, and consequently will be forgotten. Contrast that with Bob Newhart, who redefined standup comedy and modernized sitcoms that combined work and family. Lou Dobbs won’t even be remembered by people named Dobbs.
