When was 20th TV supposed to drop the F-word from its name? The writer here has no clues.

The Variety article is pretty much just straight from a Fox press release, which does say "20th Television." (Obviously, it's possible that they corrected the press release at some point after Variety cribbed it.)

This has nothing to do with the press release, but do you know the hell of having a seven-year-old Simpsons fan (he has the 20-year episode guide) with a steel trap of a mind who doesn't understand that every mediocre continuation error by the Korean animators needs to be pointed out? And I'm talking episode-to-episode issues. ("Hey! In Co-Dependents Day, the liquor is painted on the wall, but in Mommie Beerest, they're actual bottles!" "Matthew, I love you, but you gotta let it go, big guy.")

It's either this or PBS Kids, and the Kratts can go jam it with walnuts at this point.

As it happens I'm watching an episode of The Simpsons each day on DVD, both the episode and the audio commentary. I'm halfway through the first season and the creators are pointing out the same issues in continuity as they watch the episode 10 years after it first aired. One issue that keeps recurring is they sent the first batch of episodes to Korea to be animated before the first episode aired so they had no feedback on how the earliest episodes were received or if they had to even worry about thinking past a first season. They didn't even bring in a production designer to solidify the design until halfway through the season and they didn't bother with a floor plan for the house, school, or nuclear plant until later in the season.
