If it's Thursday night, it's Philadelphia-Houston

With tonight’s rainout of Game 3 of the World Series (currently tied at 1), Game 5 from Philadelphia will now air on Thursday – which is also the night Amazon will stream the Eagles-Texans game from Houston.

 

Of course, the local markets have OTA coverage, but in both cities, it’s the Fox O&O. So in Houston, football will shift to sister station KTXH (My). Alas, WTXF is a corporate orphan in the City of Brotherly Love, so the undefeated Eagles are looking for a place to bunk Thursday night.

The "official station" of the Iggles is NBC10, but they've got all new L&O Thursday... likewise with 6ABC and the Shondaland double + "Alaska Daily"... that'll just leave now-Nexstar-owned PHL17 to toss "Modern Family" and "Friends" repeats + the early 6ABC newscast at 10... a Phiily tweeter (link) with print-media history thinks the ABC-owned will make the move, but cautions "...write it in pencil"...

Just checked my Kabletown EPG - Eagles/Texans is still slotted for broadcast on FOX29, and the World Series game doesn't appear anywhere on the schedule, so either they're still working out the details, Comcast hasn't updated the EPG, or Phillies fans are just going to have to cram into the Wells Fargo Center and watch on closed circuit.

Those limited to radio, where talker 1210WPHT either simulcasts or covers conflicts with 94WIP, will have the Phils on the former (joined by the now-AM-and-FM all-newser branded KYW) with the latter carrying Mr Reese and the Boids (living in the territory, available to moi on the Audacy site):

Get the eraser out: The Inq says that the Eagles game will be on WPHL 17 (Nexstar, fwiw). The Eagles will also get custody of the FM flagship WIP.
