The article mentions that Viacom bought Pluto TV and Comcast bought Xumo so this is a case of Fox playing catch up. I had Tubi installed on my DVR (which has a Chromecast) but when I looked through what they were offering I uninstalled it. There's just too much more out there.

I feel like those three services cover a lot of the same ground (e.g. Shout Factory pushes content to both Tubi & Pluto), although now that they're owned by Giant Corporate Overlords, we'll probably start seeing more platform exclusivity. (PlutoTV, for example, has whole banks of channels dedicated to NICK, MTV, CC, etc.)

There were a bunch of apps loaded on to the Vizio TV I bought a couple of years ago. I remember looking through the listings for Tubi, Pluto on Demand, and Popcornflix and it looked like they had the same movies and TV shows. That might diverge with different owners. I just remember having to page through lots and lots of movies to find one I might be mildly interesting.
